MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – U.S. Ambassador to Somalia, Richard H. Riley, accompanied by senior army officers, arrived in Hargeisa, the capital of the self-declared unbiased area of Somaliland, on Tuesday, the place he held conferences with each the outgoing and newly elected presidents.
“Ambassador Richard H. Riley and Main Normal Brian Cashman met with Somaliland President Muse Bihi, adopted by a gathering with Somaliland President-elect Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Cirro) in Hargeisa,” US embassy in Mogadishu mentioned in an announcement on X.
“They congratulated President Bihi and President- elect Cirro on Somaliland’s current peaceable and democratic election and mentioned methods to advance peace, stability, and prosperity within the Horn of Africa.”
