MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre on Wednesday ordered Somali civil aviation authorities to waive controversial new charges imposed on passengers departing from Mogadishu airport after the transfer sparked chaos, state media reported.
The Premier visited the airport hours after movies emerged of a whole bunch of passengers stranded on the terminals as a consequence of a dispute over a $9 price for processing data of vacationers.
Chatting with these impacted by the transfer, the Premier promised that such an incident is not going to occur once more on the airport.
