MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s parliament on Wednesday endorsed a protection and financial settlement cooperation settlement signed with Turkey on February 8 as a part of efforts to counter Ethiopia’s entry to the ocean by means of the break-away area of Somaliland.
Talking after the deal was ratified in a joint session of the 2 chambers of the Somali parliament, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud mentioned Turkey will assist Somalia defend its sea.
