Kampala, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud was welcomed on the State Home in Uganda by H.E. President Yoweri Museveni.
Following the conclusion of bilateral discussions, the leaders held a joint press briefing on key problems with bilateral, regional, and worldwide significance, together with the safety state of affairs in Somalia, the Horn of Africa, and Africa at giant.
Key outcomes included:
1. Strengthened cooperation on safety, commerce, and growth.
2. Help for Somali Safety Forces and the brand new AUSSOM mission.
3. Dedication to growing bilateral commerce and investments.
4. Recognition of Somalia’s new EAC membership and its upcoming UN Safety Council seat for 2025-2026.
