MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s authorities on Wednesday banned the usage of face masks and hats attributable to safety fears, days after rebel assault at a heavily-fortified army academy in Mogadishu resulted within the loss of life of UAE army officers.
A spokesman for Banadir regional administration, Salah Dhere, mentioned the face masks have been getting used to cover identification and facilitate prison actions.
The authorities had determined to impose the ban following a gathering convened by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud with officers of the safety companies, he added.
The official careworn that conventional sunnah hats worn by elders and non secular students are exempt from the ban.
