MOGADISHU, Somalia — Somali Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre has reshuffled his cupboard, dismissing and appointing key ministers in a decree issued on Sunday.
Prime Minister Barre eliminated Abdirizak Omar Mohamed from his submit as Minister of Petroleum and Minerals, changing him with Dahir Shire Mohamed.
The federal government didn’t present a cause for Abdirizak’s dismissal, regardless of his shut ties to President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and his political celebration membership.
In different modifications, Khadija Al-Maqsoumi was appointed Minister of Household and Human Rights, whereas Bashir Mohamed Jama Goobbe took over as Minister of Setting and Local weather Change.
Moreover, Osman Ahmed Macow was named Minister of State for Power and Water.
The reshuffle comes amid ongoing efforts by the Somali authorities to streamline its operations and handle crucial sectors like power and environmental administration.
