MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s Overseas Minister Abshir Omar Huruse on Monday introduced that he had resigned to run in Puntland regional presidential election scheduled for subsequent month.
In an announcement, Huruse stated he had submitted his resignation letter to the Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre to have extra time for his presidential marketing campaign.
“As we speak, December 18 2023, I made a decision to resign because the Minister of Overseas Affairs and Worldwide Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia. I consider that I served my nation with dedication and excellence,” Huruse stated.
“I left this publish voluntarily and to have extra time for the presidential marketing campaign of the regional Somali state of Puntland,” he added.
