MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Puntland opposition on Wednesday rejected the conduct of one-man, one-vote election promised by the incumbent President of the northern Somali semi-autonomous state Saeed Abdullahi Deni.
In an announcement, they referred to as for the choice of 66 MPs who would then select regional president, a vote that the area has been holding for the final 20 years.
The regional opposition threatened that they’d oust Deni if he refuses to carry the vote on time and condemned amendments to the structure which had been authorised by parliament.
