Mogadishu, SONNA – Minister of Info Da’ud Aweis concluded a two-day Media Technique coaching aimed toward stopping pretend information and misreported data. About 20 journalists and officers from each private and non-private media organizations participated within the coaching, co-organized by Somalia’s Ministry of Info, Tradition and Tourism and the Turkish Embassy in Mogadishu.
The workshop centered on enhancing reporters’ and media executives’ expertise in combating pretend information and guiding the group successfully. Minister Da’ud Aweis thanked the Turkish Authorities for its assist and highlighted Somalia’s ongoing marketing campaign towards misinformation and battle incitement.
“We’re dedicated to group orientation and anti-falsification efforts. This coaching, a results of discussions with the Turkish Ambassador, reinforces our technique to stop misinformation,” stated Minister Aweis, urging contributors to share their new data with colleagues.
Ambassador Alper Aktaş of Turkey emphasised the workshop’s objective of strengthening cooperation between Somalia and Turkey, and the important position of journalists in Somalia’s reconstruction and improvement.
The Ministry continues to work on elevating public consciousness to fight pretend information and promote peace and stability in Somalia.
