MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Authorities in northeastern Somalia’s semi-autonomous area of Puntland on Sunday dismissed claims by Somalia’s federal authorities that 20 Al-Shabaab militants have been killed in an operation performed with the worldwide companions.
“The Ministry of Info of Puntland informs Puntland folks, Somalis basically and the worldwide group that studies disseminated by the Federal Authorities’s Ministry of Info claiming that SNA troops carried out a navy operation in Al-Madow in Puntland are groundless,” Puntland authorities mentioned in a press release.

There was no impartial affirmation of the assertions by each side, which come amid an escalating rift between the federal management and Puntland state.
