MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Authorities in central Somalia’s Baladweyne city referred to as on tens of 1000’s of residents to evacuate instantly on Wednesday because of rising flood waters after Shabelle River burst its banks, state TV reported.
Pictures circulated on social media confirmed components of the city inundated by flood waters, which additionally submerged key roads, forcing residents to flee their neighborhoods.
There have been no studies of casualties due to the flooding.
