MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud ordered the leaders of the 2 chambers of the parliament to approve controversial adjustments to the structure in a session set to be held on Saturday, opposition MP Abdirahman Abdishakur stated on Wednesday.
If ratified, Somalia’s parliament will lose its proper to elect President for the primary time in a long time and the place of the Prime Minister can be abolished, in a transfer aimed toward giving the president limitless and absolute powers.
Mohamud needs to remain past his time period if authorities fail to carry a common suffrage which is presently unattainable, Abdishakur added.
